I went to Vancouver with my mom for a great spending spree! I bought loads of fiber from woolthing while I was there. I also hit up Birkland bros for some white southdown fiber so I can start hand dying from nature. I also bought 4 skeins of malabrigo silky merino in color ways 472 and 173. I had a wonderful trip with mom! We stayed in the Sheraton Wall center and walked around down town, and being a consumer I bought everything in sight! We ate a wonderful meal at the sandbar on grandville island. We went to the worlds best and cheapest book store while on Broadway and I bought a spinning book and also a book about dying fiber from things in nature. I didn't realize that I could color fiber with tea and normal herbs from my kitchen! I"m excited about trying this.
yesterday I started a new pair of socks in a honey comb stitch. Its coming along nicely. I will take pictures when I have more time. I also finished the bright socks that I was doing from thick and thin wool.
