Noisy Creek

Drew and I went on our first camping trip of the year! We drove to Noisy Creek forestry campsite on Mable Lake. It was extremely nostalgic to return to my favorite spot as a child (besides summer camp)

Things that have changed:
1) wider road all the way out
2) fresh new gravel
3) horrible clear cut on the drive
4) no water tap
5) $10 to camp for one night! (it used to be free)
6) 14 night maximum stay (we used set up camp for the summer)

But even with all the changes we still had an amazing and relaxing time.
The best part was that Drew and I were the only ones there! That means that I got to run around in my unders and Drew got to swim in his. And the dogs got to run around without being tied up.

This camping trip was also Smudges first camping trip. He was amazing and also decided that he likes to swim and stick his feet in the water. He also loved rolling around in the sand and loved chasing all the butter flies.

Lola found a new boyfriend. His name is Mallard the Duck. He visited for most of the day and him and Lola played this cute game where she would chase him into the water and then Mallard would chase her back to the land.

The weather was superb! the first day it was 34 degrees and the second day was 36 degrees. Drew and I got to relax and read our books and work on our sun burns. Drew was lucky and only his toes burned. Lola even decided that she wanted to go for a bit of a dip. But it took some persuasion from Drew and I.

Today I cut off all of my hair and donated it for cancer. At the shop I went to, you got to choose what organization your hair goes to. I miss it dearly, but I love drastic changes and this was for a great cause.
