Oh the Cold

Drew and I went to the cabin Sunday and came on on Wed... While we were there the temperature dropped to minus 25 degrees. It was sooooo cold. We used so much wood trying to keep the cabin warm but it was about 15 degrees at the most. The dogs wouldn't leave the cozy bed and were beyond cuddly. What they do for body warmth is ridiculous.
Drew and I passed the time by doing our projects. Drew did homework for his shitty english class. I worked on Dads Christmas gift and made up songs.
We did some pretty stupid things to pass time. We found out that charades with 2 people suck. But we stuck with it. We acted out movie names starting with A all the way to V in the alphabet.
I spent much of my time hovering over the toilet seat in the outhouse... There was so much frost on the seat that the lid was stuck in the up position.
We went for drives so we could warm up. And we have decided that the heat in our cabin will be base board heating and then a fire place for backup. The fire just didn't keep us warm and the amount of wood we went threw was insane.
