Cirton and alpaca

Well the pain is over. I hated knitting the citron more then any other pattern I have ever knit. This was by far the most boring knit. Except for the part where I dropped 2 stitches on the very last row before bind off. I didn't notice and kept knitting and made a major hole. I had to rip back 4 rows (over 2000 stitches) and re knit.
But after all the bitching and complaining, it came out pretty. 4 inches shorter then it was supposed to be (even though my tension was spot on) but very pretty.
I added a beaded bind off. And I think that was the ticket. It made the shawl pretty, and sparkly, and girly.
This is going to be given to my brothers girlfriend Daisy.

I have been spinning a lot lately. Yesterday I washed up some fleece and put it in a laundry bag and put it outside to dry. Today I carded it! It is wonderful!
Look at how pretty it is. It is a wonderful faun color, with most of it being white and then streaks of red and browns. I am spinning this up for a friend online. It is from her sisters alpacas, and since she doesn't spin, I am doing it for her. She is going to make 2 lovely shawls out of it. I have about 6 ounces left for myself!

  1. Well done! Do you think you could make a shawl from Chili Dog fur?
