Volvo blues round 2

My friend and I are on our way to knitting in Luna last night thinking that my shiny car is running like new....
Until.
All the lights on the dashboard, the cd player and the headlights go out.
It happens again. the car stalls. we make it to Aberdeen Mall thinking that Drew is at work and we will put the spinning wheels in his car and make it to knitting only a little late. I call Drew's work to explain to him what was happening and was told that Tuesday was his night off.
*forehead slap* riiiiight he is in class Tuesday nights.
Lucky there was a cute security guard with a battery booster to get us out of our jam.
He boosted us and we decide that we should just go home.
WELL
we made it out of the parking of the mall, but the the car dies again. This time we manage to coast all the way to the greyhound station a couple of km's away. When we get to the greyhound station a man decided to help us. He told us his sad story of why he was in Kamloops.
When the car is charged we take off at full speed trying to get home before it happens again.
It didn't happen like that. We broke down two more times. A total of 4 times in one evening.
After spending close to $600 in car repairs for the exact same problem I was very unimpressed.
At 8:30 this morning I called the car shop that I got the car fixed at. I insisted that they pay the towing fee since I paid it once already. I also informed them that this was the exact same thing that happened before and I was not willing to pay extra on top of the $600 I paid less then 6 hours before the 4 breakdowns.
We will see what happens. But I'm almost sure that they didn't fix the right part, just a hunch.
Hopefully I will get Luna back tonight.
This is why I didn't get to knitting last night.
and this is why we will be taking the civic on our holiday.

  1. Wow that explains where you were. It sure sounds like your alternator is screwed. Hope it gets fixed!
