The Search

I'm getting sick of searching for apartments. Today I drove around my area for an hour looking for rental signs. I found 4 but only 2 allowed pets.
One guy told me that I was a horrible person who makes the wrong choices because I have 2 small (tiny) dogs. He got to the point where he was yelling at me about the choice I made. I told him was was crazy, which set him off. I told him I was a good tenant because I decided to have pets and not kids. And that set him off into an uproar. It was really quite amusing as I needed a good argument.

I am looking at 2 places, one tonight that is way the hell in the middle of nowhere. Its at Frasier and 52nd. So really south of where I want to be. However the owner sounds really cute, and the rent is really cheap.
The second place I am going to take a look at is in a quiet dead end road just on the other side of Nanaimo street here in Hastings Sunrise. It has a big mural on the side of the building and lots of greenery and a nice metal gate to get into the yard. It is a one bedroom and that is all I know. I spoke the the guy today and he didn't tell me how much it was, but I expect it will be less expensive as he said it was small. He was also cute and made a joke about how his son failed obedience school and still yaps.

I am working like crazy all month. I don't actually have a day off as of April 9th to April 31! This will be a nice change in pace, and make the time without my Drew feel quicker.
I am keeping an eye out for free stuff on craigslist.com. You can find a lot of really neat furniture for no cost. I'm sure a lot of you don't know that Drew and I have rid ourselves of almost all of our possessions. I think that starting new is important when you reach a new level or goal in life.
One thing that I didn't get rid of is my shoes. Well I did get rid of 2 large green garbage bags of shoes, but I still have a lot more.
Drew is coming up this weekend for my Birthday which is exciting! We plan at looking at a suite that I had already looked at before, but need Drews approval as it is in a home. I don't want to make the same mistake I did last time with the basement suite from hell in North Kamloops. This suite that we will be looking at is in an old mansion on the third of 4 floors. it has a massive deck, hard wood, stained glass, and all the charm you would ever need. But it is a house, so likely noisy. I heard the person upstairs turn on their music last time and I could hear every word of it. However the suite was vacant so would likely seem noisier then when filled up with all of our crap we seem to acquire.

Ok I'm rambling again. Will post later this week
