Madame

Well I named my wonderful bike Madame. For our 6 year anniversary Drew bought me a bike rack and a basket to fit on the top. It is perfect! He also bought me a pair of Tom's (shoes) that are sparkly silver. I love them!

I have been biking every day whether to the beach, Granville island, downtown or to the market. It is so nice not to have to worry about parking and always having change. Plus it is nice knowing that I am burning some calories.

I don't think that many people know that I have started to jog. I am following the couch to 5k plan. Take a look here. So far so good! I jogged a ton in high school for about a year and then stopped and got fat. So I'm hoping I can trim down again.

Drew is enjoying his job although not loving the commute every day. It sucks when you have to cross one bridge let alone two bridges and pass through downtown. Poor guy.

Lola and Smudge are doing great! Smudge has been jogging with me and does really well. I was scared that he would trip me or I would choke him when he stopped. But so far we have an understanding. He actually loves it! He is such an active dog and Lola really slows us down when we go for walks. She hates walking more then anything. She used to love it but I think that us being so lazy really put a funk on her wanting to walk. But now Drew and I are so active we hope that she will start to love walking again.

A couple weeks ago we had a family reunion at the cabin. It was a lot of fun! Drew caught his first fish and I went white water rafting with my cousins! I got to see cousins that I haven't seen since Drew and I lived in Brandon.

Our place is coming a long with all the art on the walls. I have a little sewing table and Drew has a guitar area. Last week we rode our bikes downtown and we bought some zebra print fabric and I sewed some new pillows for our couch.

We got to the bottom of the smell in our place. It was the stove. It isn't working properly and emitting a ton of carbon monoxide and some other exhaust. It was actually really bad, the gas company came and shut off our gas until the landlord fixes it. The landlord however, is beyond cheap. the whole stove unit needs to be replaces but she wont buy us a new one. She keeps getting people to look at it but no one can fix it. It is become annoying. She dropped off a hot plate and told us she didn't know how long it will take to get fixed.
I give her a week before I report her to the tenants act of BC. We lived with carbon monoxide for 3 months and complained numerous times. But we don't' want to leave. We love our little place.

Other then that, the weather has been shit. The last 2 days were wonderful but today is shit again. I was hoping that it was going to be nice and took the day off. I did get to have a bike ride. and will go for a jog and take the dogs for a walk. But no beach today. Although I did spend the day at the beach yesterday, all by myself with a good book some tunes and Madame.

We have also been investigating some restaurants around our area. There is an amazing sushi place called the Eatery. It is a crazy busy place with cool art hanging on the ceilings. Also we have found a great $10 beer and burger joint.

Xoxo
