Well I have more good news!
Last week I FINALLY had my orientation at my new job.. I wowed them with my wits and charmed the shit out of the manager. That was Friday.
Today is Monday. And Today I landed a full time position with the company!
I am so happy to get away from autism. I admire the people who can do it. However I just don't have it in me any more. I have never had so many bruises, bite marks, scratches, gouges and pulled muscles in my life.
My new job is working with street entrenched youth. I will be working in a safe house environment where they can come and go. However they have some guide lines they have to follow while in care.
My new shifts is
Monday 4-12
Tuesday 4-10
Wednesday off
Thursday off
Friday 4-10
Saturday 8-4
Sunday 10-4
Sadly I work every single weekend. But it is only for a year. It works out perfect for my schooling which ends at 1pm! My manager had to juggle Friday around for me as it was supposed to be a morning shift. But YAY! Everything worked out!
Drew worked this weekend so I spent it hanging out with friends! I bought a new road bike for myself as Madame wasn't made for long rides. The bike I bought is old but a lot lighter. It has flat tires so today I watched a video on how to change them. And blasted off to MEC to buy new tires and tubes. I'm going to change my own tires. And that makes me feel pretty awesome. I also got red bullhorn handle bars for my bike. They are pretty sexy! I got them for a steal on ebay.
I also went to Whistler with my best friend Amy for the afternoon. we had a blast! We went on a walk to see a waterfall. had a picnic and fed the blue jays. We shopped around and hung out in the element and smoked a Cuban cigar and drank spiked slushes. We went for dinner at the South end hostel and had yummy food. Sadly we had to say good bye after that. We are both going threw a lot of changes in our lives and having a best friend in "person" is a really good thing.
Today I got a new tattoo on my arm that reads "all you need is love" and then it has 2 roses, one on either side.
Things are looking up! And I am super excited to see what the future has for us.
Sounds awesome! I am glad you are doing so well. I think you will work great with youth!
