Rats, Fish and Cats

Things have been pretty good. Drew has been applying for better career like jobs, I am still doing well in class, the dogs are healthy and have lost weight and Igor is still the king of the house hold.

A couple of nights ago I bought myself an early birthday gift. I got a pretty little rat and I named her Nana. Family knows how much I love rats. I had them for most of my youth and into my teens. Such a strange pet to have but hard to ignore how smart they are.

Nana spends her early mornings (5am) sitting on my shoulder and sharing my cereal. If she is lucky I let her drink the last of the milk from my bowl. This is us getting made up for class yesterday morning
Drew's friend Steve and his wife Christie came to Vancouver last weekend for Christies birthday. (You may have met Steve at our wedding, he was Drew's best man and had green hair)
We went to the aquarium with them for the afternoon. It was super cool!! They had a west coast exhibit that was full of corals, fish, weeds, everything you could imagine that lived in our ocean. They even had a giant octopus! they had many large aquariums of different coastal areas along the west coast and each had a different feel. I liked the Gibsons tank because the ground was all sandy instead of all the others with different kinds of rocks. I had no idea how diverse our ocean was with each island, kilometer, depth. I think that I thought that it was all the same around here.

these pink things can be found near Main island

these Jelly fish can be found all over the west coast! they are so cute!

These clown fish come from the tropics somewhere
And Gracious Igor Picture since he has been left out
