Dirty Thirty

Well turning thirty was a hard one for me. It made me a wreck, I cried a lot for absolutely no reason whether watching baby animals play or thinking about how my favorite sweater has a hole in it. Everything made me cry..... which is not me in any way.
So I learned that thirty makes you emotional, It makes you miss your youth, and it makes you determined to be better.
Ah my youth, It is like it was yesterday (haha) I remember sitting on the beach before work or going for bike rides or having a tasty snack. I remember thinking about hot guys in their 20's, How education, for the most part, is a scam, how anarchy would be really effing cool if it worked.
Well really nothing has changed except for a number.
I still oogle boys in their 20s (mainly my husband... but not always) Anarchy would never work, but there is something romantic about it. Education is still bullshit for the most part. I'm learning a skill that I didn't have knowledge about before hand where as Drew wrote essay after essay, got a degree and now can't get a job.
I can still bike ride, eat treats and beach it up with all the other babes in their 20's. And I don't have to act mature or act like I know everything (which I do). Being 30 doesn't change anything. My values are the same and my goals are the same. Yet for some reason the number 30 freaks the shit out of me.

Drew and I went for a bike ride around Barnsten Island a couple of weeks ago. It was such a nice day with very few people. I think the ride is about 15 kms but totally flat. So it was a breeze.
here are a couple of pics

My good friend Dre came down last Thursday for the day. I'm her bridesmaid in her wedding this summer. We went thrift store shopping and went out for pie. Dre and her other bridesmaid Lisa surprised me for my birthday and got me a piece of cake and a little gift and a party hat. Meanwhile Lisa and I planned a little birthday party hat and gift giving for Dre's birthday. So It was a double surprise party!
This is a pic of the cute vintage dress that I got on our thrift store shop
Drew and I had a romantic (not really) picnic the day before my birthday. It was such a great spring like weekend!
