Back Woods Fun

The dogs and I went and surprised my parents this weekend at the cabin. I knew they would be there this weekend since Drew and I claimed the cabin for next weekend.
When we got to the cabin, my parents were no where to be found. So I left them a note and went hunting for them. They were a few kilometers down the road going for a walk. So while they were going for a walk I decided to try to get up to the Trophy meadows. I could see that they were under snow but I thought I would chance driving up in my little VW golf.

Well first off. I had no idea that our shocks were so bad. I knew that we would need them replaced sometime in the next couple of years... But after the drive I went on, what shocks we had left are now totally gone. But the drive was amazing.

At the bottom of the mountain the trees were still beautiful and orange, gold and reds. But the higher I got into the mountain the more the leaves changed into browns, and at the top the trees didn't have leaves.

About 9km's into my drive, the road was lined with small amounts of snow. I got excited and pulled over for a couple of pictures.

4ish more Km's and the road was nothing but snow. I had to back down and pull over as I couldn't get any further in my car.

The dogs were released from there warm and cozy car to play in the snow. It was the first time Smudge has been in snow. And after initially inhaling it threw is nose and sneezing over and over, he decided that he loved it. But only with his jacket that I made for him.

Smudge looks so refined in that spiffy sweater.
