.......For Shit to go Down
I used to love the Holiday Season but as I grow older I am getting less and less fond of it.
This year has been a disaster.
For those of you who don't know, I was in the hospital for a couple of days with a puncture in my colon. I was bleeding internally and pooping out 1/4 of a cup of blood every time I had a bowel movement. (8ish times a day for me)
I had to get a blood transfusion done, I was hooked up to IV and had 12 rounds of morphine and gravol. It was pretty serious.
This was all caused by a colonoscopy that went wrong. The Doctor took a biopsy that was to large and thus punctured my bowel.
I have had a full week off now and tomorrow I am able to resume my normal life. I will be able to work and also go to the gym.
Oh I am recording my weight as 18 pounds lost since I started my weight loss journey.
Now for my car situation.
I went to Vancouver on Tuesday to purchase a car. A Volvo to be exact. I bought one after doing all things right. getting a mechanics approval to buy, buying winter tires with rims so I would make it home, making sure there were no accident claims on the car, etc....
I bought this lovely Volvo wagon! but to my horror before I left Vancouver the radiator blew up. Like green fluid everywhere. Apparently the tube on the top going from the radiator to the engine corroded and was detached from the radiator. So I had to purchase a new one. While the mechanic was installing the radiator I asked them to install these winter tires the lady sold me for an extra $300. So they put them on. As I try to leave the mechanics I hear this horrible noise. They found out that the tires don't fit the car and are rubbing on some springs behind the tire. She the mechanic takes the new winter tires off and has to put the summer tires back on.
So after spending over my budget on this car i had to pay hundreds more because of an incompetent mechanic telling me it was ok to purchase and nothing was wrong with the car.
So after a scary drive over the summit in snow and sleet I got home safe in the Volvo and its summer tires. I haven't decided if I will sell this car too. I will take it to get inspected one last time before I make up my mind.
While all of this happened I received 4 calls from work and picked up 4 new shifts over the holidays. One of the days I got called in was for Christmas day. I was having Christmas dinner at my house for my family and also my father in law. And now I had to cancel the day. I also had to cancel a visit with my god daughter. She was going to stay with me for 3 days but I had to pick up 2 shifts on they days she was visiting.
So Christmas this year is isn't as jolly as I was hoping.
