Today was an amazing day!
I woke up to this... Zelda laying in the closet across the hangers
She is pretty cute. She sleeps on our pillows at night, when she isn't being a dick and attacking things that don't exist.
We had a quick breakfast, packed up a picnic lunch and headed for the hills for another hike.
the first trail we chose had a dead bear on it. It looked fairly fresh and had all its feet. Maybe it was hit by a car and then dragged down the trail a bit?
We walked to the end of that trail and turned around and tried a different trail.
the second trail was dusty. We walked through a new growth forest and down a steep hill into the valley. At the bottom of the trail we spotted this.
The skull was large. maybe a moose or a cariboo?
This scared us. FRESH bear poo. still warm and full of berries. We pretty much ran back to the car after that making sure the bear bells rattled like crazy. We were pretty scared. It's different hiking without dad. I remember feeling so safe when I was with him and mom. He would likely wrestle a bear to save us.
When we got to the car we realised we still hadn't had lunch. so we found this place at Bouchie lake to eat and have a rest and drink.
There wasn't a cloud in the sky today! I even got a sun burn.
After lunch we came back home.
This is our trailer park. Our place is the third on the right.
we watched a couple episodes of family guy and I spun a full bobbin on yarn! I haven't spun in 2 years. It came out even and lovely! I can't wait to knit myself a scarf with it!
after that Drew and I both went for a run! I was so surprised that I was able to run as far as I did! I haven't got for an actual run since getting hit by the car in May. I'll see how I feel tomorrow and if it doesn't hurt my whiplash I will continue running as often as I can!
After we went for a run we ate the other half of the stuffed squash.
We then went to watch the sunset at Dragon lake.
We were joined by a duck couple
We headed for the pool after this and hung out for a bit.
Now we are watching a documentary called "Shut up Little Man". It's really good.
what a lifely day!
